Mercury was retrograde. In Gate 37. The gate of The Family — of origins, tribal bonds, where you come from, the agreements that hold communities together.

And what were we revisiting on March 16? Literally the origin of life on Earth. Our family tree. Except the tree just grew roots that extend 4.6 billion years into space, to a carbonaceous asteroid named after a dragon's palace in Japanese mythology.

Mars was conjunct Mercury in Gate 37 — pushing forward while Mercury pulled backward. The tension between "we always assumed life started here" and "the data says otherwise." Assertion versus reflection. The old story versus the new evidence. Mars doesn't care about your comfortable assumptions. Mars in Gate 37 says: the family is bigger than you thought. Deal with it.

The Revolution No One Saw Coming

The Moon was in Gate 49 — Revolution. The gate of principles being evaluated. "Does this still serve us?" Gate 49 asks that question about everything: relationships, belief systems, scientific paradigms.

On March 16, it was asking about abiogenesis — the theory that life originated on Earth from non-living chemistry. That theory isn't dead. But it just got company. Panspermia — the idea that life's ingredients were delivered from space — moved from speculative hypothesis to evidence-backed science in a single paper.
